Milena is the long-awaited only child in Avetyans’ family. Born premature, she was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy when she was 1 year old. Due to inadequate physiotherapies, by now Milena’s both hips are dislocated causing severe pain. The family has expired all treatment possibilities in Russia and has finally found a clinic in Germany where doctors can not only fix the join dislocations, but also give Milena a chance to walk.
The family has already raised money for the so much needed operation and is missing only about 18000 EUR the post-operation physiotherapy in a reha-clinic in Germany. We at Kamurdsch-Brücke e.V. and we are now calling for donations* to finance Milena’s physiotherapy. ANY contribution will help Milena! Milena already in Aschau-BZ!

December 17, 2015, Milena was successfully operated at the Children’s Orthopedic Hospital in Aschau. She is now in recovery, undergoing physiotherapy, and preparing for the upcoming operation on her other leg/hip and hand.
Dr. Döderlein has suggested two additional operations that will increase Milena’s chances of walking on her own and fully using her right hand. The costs of both operations were not included into the original cost-plan. The family has expired all their resources, and we need to raise the 10 000 Euro (preliminary) for the two operations. There is no way back, Milena’s treatments are currently ongoing, and we have a high time pressure to raise the necessary funds.
We shouldn’t allow Milena’s success to stop halfway! Let’s together make a holiday gift for the little girl who is struggling right now!

We would like to share updates about Milena’s treatment in Aschau BZ. On 02.02.2016 Milena’s right hip has been operated. The operation took much longer, so they could not operate also her hand, as planned. It was a hard operation and Milena took 16 days to recover, and on 18.02. the final operation on her hand could be done. Since then she is in orthopedic cast immobilization for 6 weeks. Due to some post-operation complications, the doctors in Aschau have extended Milena’s stay for 2 months, till the end of April. The Avetyans’ family has no means for additional 2 months’ stay and treatment in Aschau, thus Kamurdsch-Brücke e.V. is collecting tax-free donations to cover up the costs.
