Hayk Nersesyan was born premature at 5.5 months, and the time doctors had no hope he would survive. His father left his mother Paytsar and him right there at the hospital. Paytsar however, didn’t give up on her newborn son, and it is thanks to her endless care that Hayk grew up into a sweet and loving boy. He is now 5 y.o. , but still can’t walk, as he has Cerebral palsy. The doctors at the Orthopedic Treatment Centre in Aschau, Germany, can put him on his feet with two hip and foot surgeries that were scheduled for March 2016 and would cost about 39400 EUR.
Paytsar is a single mother living in Yerevan, Armenia since his birth and cannot work, as Hayk cannot attend a daycare and she has to take care of him every day. We could not raise enough money, thus we moved the operation to mid-September 2016, when Hayk will already be 6 y.o. Any more delay can be decisive, let's join up to realize his dream to walk! The family has already raised about 22000 Euros, and we need to raise another 17000 Euros.

Hayk Arrives in Aschau

We are happy to share good news from Hayk. He is already in Germany getting treatment in Achau BZ. The first hip operation was successfully done on Sept. 13th, and now Hayk is recovering for 6 weeks and preparing for the second operation. We are still missing about 4000 Eur. from the cost plan, so we continue raising money for Hayk’s treatment. Hayk needs our support to finish the planned treatments, and it’s only 10% of the amount needed left, we can do that!

Second Operation postponed

The first hip Operation was quite complicated, and the doctors have decided not to operate Hayk’s second hip shortly after, rather give 6-month recovery break. So, on November 8, 2016 Hayk with his mother returned to Yerevan, Armenia and are scheduled to return to Aschau in March 2017 for the Operation. Longer stay and extra travel used the money collected for the 2nd operation, so we are now raising money for missing 7000 EUR. Please, keep sending your donations to support Hayk’s operation and the following treatment!

In October 2017 Hayk successfully underwent his 3rd operation and is now ongoing Rehabilitation in Aschau BZ. We are calling for donations to cover his treatment as well as 1-month accommodation costs.
